about sarah

For over 20 years I’ve been supervising people and leading teams. My favorite work moments - and my proudest accomplishments - have all come because of the team.

As a leader, I’m driven to lead well. That singular goal sparked a lifelong pursuit of learning, practice, and listening in service to the people I’ve led. Across roles in education and corporate environments alike, I’ve learned that results are never created by one person. They are created by aligned, engaged groups of people working toward something that matters.

Now, as an executive and team coach, I bring that hard-earned expertise to leaders and organizations in a diverse array of sectors and industries.

Here’s what I know to be true:

People want to feel purposeful and productive at work.

People want to work with awesome people.

Everyone has a unique story, perspective, and skill that can - and should - contribute to the larger enterprise.

And failures in the workplace are rarely caused by a person; they are most often caused by a misaligned system.

from academia to corporate america

Over time, those years of leadership taught me something simple and powerful: most people genuinely want to do great work.

I’ve had the privilege of teaching leadership courses to emerging leaders and I’ve partnered with Fortune 100 companies to design and implement programs for senior leadership. Those experiences shaped my practical approach to development, helping me see first-hand how growth actually happens at the intersection of clear strategy, honest conversation, and human motivation.

This is the foundation of my coaching today.

I coach leaders and teams to create environments where clarity replaces overwhelm, collaboration outperforms silos, and systems enable success.

At it’s core, leadership isn’t about a title. It’s about impact. It’s the ability to listen well, make sense of information quickly, and inspire confident action. My coaching helps leaders do exactly that: cut through the noise, lead with authenticity, and move their teams forward with purpose.

What I believe:

People thrive when expectations are clear and conversations are honest.

Talent emerges when leaders listen more than they direct.

High performance is built through trust, not fear.

The best teams make space for difference, debate, and new ideas.

Coaching should translate insight into momentum.

on a personal note

  • Outside of coaching, I’m an avid reader with a long running habit of finishing 52 books a year. If you have a recommendation - let me know.

  • I also have a very serious sweet tooth. If we’re in a meeting together, there’s a good chance I’m munching on gummy bears while we talk strategy. Consider it part of the process!

  • To balance out the seriousness of work, I’m a novice potter. Working with clay reminds me how important it is to have an outlet where you can experiment, make a mess, and simply be a beginner again.

  • I’m a proud dog mom to Honus, a coonhound/lab mix and undisputed #1 napper on the office couch. He’s an excellent listener, champion squirrel chaser, and my daily reminder to go for a walk.

  • I love cooking and traveling and once convinced my husband to take a cooking class in Ireland. I believe food is more than fuel, it’s an experience.

  • Relationships are central to my life. I met my best friends in college and we still meet by ZOOM every week. I’m the oldest sister and enthusiastic aunt to four nephews and two nieces whom I absolutely adore.

I believe relationships and a sense of connection, at work and in life, is what makes everything fun and possible.
